Position Overview
Kirsch Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled Electrician to support electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work for commercial and industrial projects in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. This role is responsible for installing electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all electrical work meets safety and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on electrical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Install electrical panels, circuit breakers, lighting systems, and control systems
• Ensure electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and regulations
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on job sites
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and inspections
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid electrician license or certification preferred
• 3+ years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments
Preferred Qualifications
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience working on commercial construction projects
• Experience with industrial electrical systems or controls
Work Environment
This role requires working on construction sites or industrial facilities and may involve exposure to heights, electrical equipment, and varying weather conditions.
