CNC Machinist

Position Overview
Kirsch Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a growing manufacturing operation in the Charlotte, NC area. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery used to produce precision metal components according to engineering specifications.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment and will be comfortable interpreting technical drawings and ensuring high-quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Perform machine adjustments and tool changes as required
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Maintain production records and documentation
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Collaborate with production supervisors and engineering teams to improve machining processes
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with precision measurement tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CNC programming or editing machine programs
• Familiarity with G-code and machining software
• Experience working in metal fabrication or precision manufacturing environments
Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing facility and may involve exposure to loud machinery, metal materials, and production equipment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
